In Q2 2024, the dance games category saw varied trends across key performance metrics on the unified platform. Sensor Tower's latest data offers a closer look at how these apps fared during this period.
Just Dance Now experienced a fluctuating revenue trend, starting at $70M and peaking at $93M in early May, before settling at $74M by the end of June. Downloads saw a steady increase from 145K in the first week of April to a high of 244K in the final week of June. Weekly active users (WAUs) also grew, from 374K to 489K over the quarter.
Coco Play's Dance Clash: Ballet vs Hip Hop had no revenue to report. However, downloads initially dipped to 42K in mid-May, then rebounded to 137K in mid-June, before dropping again to 49K. WAUs peaked at 1.3M in April, with a noticeable decline to 985K by the quarter's end.
Another Coco Play title, Ice Skating Ballerina Life, also reported no revenue. Downloads for this app were relatively stable, with a slight uptick to 86K in early June. WAUs saw a modest range, from a high of 181K at the start and end of April to a low of 130K in late May.
Cheerleader Run 3D by Supersonic Studios LTD showed a mixed downloads pattern, peaking at 170K in late April, but no downloads were recorded in early June. WAUs followed a declining trend, starting at 344K and dropping to 30K by mid-June.
Lastly, Pole Star from CrazyLabs LTD had its highest downloads at 61K in late May and a fairly consistent WAUs that ended slightly lower at 159K in the last week of June compared to 205K at the beginning of April.
